Substitute Long-Term Physical Education Teacher ESS Education – 3.7 Brookfield, CT Job Details Temporary $150 a day 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Teaching Certification Mid-level ARRT (CT) Certification Full Job Description This opportunity is at Brookfield Public Schools Substitute Teacher An ESS substitute teacher assists with classroom instruction in the absence of a regular teacher. This assignment is a temporary long-term assignment covering Grades K-2 for physical education. Lesson plan guidelines provided, no guaranteed co-teacher. Assignment will being August 27th, 2025, and end in early December, date TBD. Responsibilities Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent Review and implement regular teacher’s routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives Establish and maintain a safe and orderly environment Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration Perform other duties as directed by school administration Qualifications Minimum of Physical Education CT Teaching Certification CT/FBI Criminal History Clearance Department of Children and Families Child Abuse and Neglect Registry Record Clearance Education Employment Verification – Act 16-67 About ESS As leaders in the education staffing space since 2000, ESS specializes in placing qualified staff in daily, long-term, and permanent K-12 school district positions including substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school support staff.
