AICE Cambridge General Paper Teacher Somerset Academy Chapel Trail 20803 Johnson Street, Pembroke Pines, FL 33029 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth and development. This role requires a commitment to child welfare, literacy education, and the overall well-being of students. The Teacher will work in a private school setting, focusing on curriculum development and behavior management while accommodating diverse learning needs. Responsibilities Educate students by delivering engaging lessons that promote literacy and critical thinking skills. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring early intervention strategies are utilized effectively. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Collaborate with other educators to design curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those requiring special education services. Teach physical education classes that promote health, fitness, and teamwork among students. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student performance and welfare. Experience Proven experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred. Familiarity with child welfare practices and the ability to create a safe learning environment. Experience in curriculum development is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and early intervention strategies is essential. A background in teaching physical education is a plus. A degree in Education or a related field is required; additional certifications in special education or literacy education are advantageous.
