The Position We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School (Grades 5-8) Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The start date for this position is August 1, 2025. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting physical fitness, health, and overall well-being among students. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans that foster a love for physical activity and teaching essential skills in various sports and fitness disciplines. The Physical Education Teacher will work collaboratively with other educators to create a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and personal growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that align with educational standards and promote student engagement. Teach students the fundamentals of various sports, fitness activities, and healthy lifestyle choices. Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support their development. Organize and supervise physical education classes, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all participants. Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and respect among students through group activities and competitive games. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate physical education into the broader school curriculum. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and participation in physical activities. Stay updated on current trends in physical education, health, and wellness to enhance teaching practices. Experience A degree in Physical Education or a related field from an accredited university is required. Previous experience teaching physical education at the elementary or secondary level. Strong knowledge of various sports, fitness techniques, and health education principles. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of diverse abilities. A passion for promoting health and wellness among young people through active participation in physical activities.
