We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle/High School Physical Education Teacher to join our faculty and contribute to the holistic development of our students.
Position Overview:
The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for delivering comprehensive physical education programs to middle and high school students. This role involves creating engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate lesson plans, promoting physical fitness, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and fostering positive attitudes toward physical activity. The ideal candidate will be committed to integrating biblical principles into the curriculum and promoting the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum that aligns with state standards and the school’s mission.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons and activities that focus on developing physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Integrate Christian values into physical education instruction, promoting a balanced approach to physical and spiritual health.
- Supervise students during physical activities and ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that encourages improvement and growth.
- Support and coach school athletic teams, if applicable, fostering Christian character, teamwork, and leadership through sports.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to promote the holistic development of students.
- Actively participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching experience or certification preferred
- Coaching experience a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of physical education principles, fitness, and health education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage students in a positive and constructive manner.
- A commitment to upholding Christian values and integrating faith into the classroom and athletic programs.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, respectful, and supportive environment for all students.
