Teaching Full Job Description Job Summary:
Lake Highland’s Middle School seeks a Physical Education (P.E.) Teacher to instruct students according to the prescribed LHP curriculum. The P.E. Teacher performs related teaching tasks and functions such as planning, research, curriculum alignment, assessment, and record-keeping in an efficient and effective manner. To further develop physical education at the MS level, the P.E. Teacher also, as needed, serves as a coach for extracurricular activities, leads an advisory group, serves on Student Life planning committees, and willingly participates in the school community and student co-curricular activities. Such services may be required on an ongoing basis throughout the school year. This is a full-time, fully benefitted, 10-month position. We encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Certification or qualification to teach Physical Education or related area in grades 7-8 required. Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred. Previous coaching experience preferred.
