• 10-month position Position Overview As an education professional,you will help shape future Christian leaders who will advance God’schurch, community, and His Kingdom on earth.

This positionimplements a classical Christian curriculum that involves a lovefor ancient wisdom, instilling virtue, connecting Christ to everysubject, and developing world class rhetorical skills. The idealcandidate will work closely with their team and director to createa vibrant classical school culture in assemblies, chapels, and inthe classroom.

Head of School Qualifications

• Evidenceof strong Christian faith and values and acknowledgement of theSchool’s Statement of Faith and Staff Leadership Covenant.
• Bachelor’s degree in physical education.

Master’s degree preferred.

Teaching Certificate in subject area preferred or evidence ofenrollment in an accredited university state approved teacherpreparation program within three years of hire date.

• Evidence ofknowledge of physical education curriculum and the ability toimplement it.
• Ability to interact collaboratively with staff,students, parents, and Administration.
• Excellent oral and writtenskills.
• Must pass drug test, fingerprinting, and Level 2background check. Skills

Responsibilities

• Teach knowledge and skills to students utilizingthe course of study prescribed by the approved curriculum.
• Designprojects that meet students with varying intellectual abilities,and to accommodate a variety of instructional needs.
• Write lessonplans that meet the goals as set forth by Administration.
• Promote, model, and expect safety in all aspects of the physicaleducation (P.E.) curriculum and all interactions.
• Fostersportsmanship, respect, and fair play.
• Promote physical fitnessand healthy lifestyle through additional means to support the P.E.curriculum and the school’s mission.
• Follow Policies andProcedures as set forth by Administration.
• Provide a clean, safe,and nurturing teaching environment.
• Participate in all schoolmeetings, trainings, and orientations.
• Complete all in-servicehours on time.
• Turn in all required paperwork on time.
• Cooperate in school-wide supervision of students duringout-of-school activities.
• Maintain appropriate records forstudents.
• Establish and maintain standards for acceptable studentbehavior using appropriate techniques.
• Ensure the safety andhealth of all students, notifying the administration of any unsafeconditions or equipment malfunction.
• Create a stimulating,organized, functional, healthy, and safe program for each agegroup.
• Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills, shareexpertise with others.
