Physical Education Health Science Teaching Full Job Description High School Physical Education/Health Teacher Location:
St. Louis, MO, 63118 Summary Kairos Academies is seeking a hardworking, culture-building, student-focused, data-driven Elective teacher to deliver Physical Education, Health & Wellness, and Personal Finance instruction. At Kairos, all teachers are leaders—you’ll teach multiple standards-aligned courses and serve in a whole-school service role (e.g., Wellness Lead, Financial Literacy Lead) that promotes fitness, healthy habits, and money-management skills. Key Responsibilities Rigorous Instruction & Curriculum Adapt and implement Missouri PE and Health & Wellness standards Develop and deliver a comprehensive Personal Finance curriculum covering budgeting, credit, investing, and entrepreneurship Design skill-building lessons, fitness assessments, health workshops, and financial simulations Data-Driven Practice Analyze fitness data, health survey results, and financial project outcomes to guide instruction Monitor student growth in physical skills, wellness habits, and financial literacy; differentiate activities and supports Mentoring Facilitate student Circle once a week, as well as participate in all staff Circle once a week Monitor your mentor group’s academic and behavioral progress and provide support to students in setting and reaching ambitious academic and character development goals Culture & Environment Management Cultivate a safe, inclusive environment in gym and classroom for up to 25 students Build trusting relationships through coaching, mentorship, and team-building activities Whole-School Leadership Lead school-wide initiatives (e.g., wellness fairs, budgeting workshops) as a “whole-school service” role

Qualifications Degree:
Bachelor’s in Physical Education, Health Sciences, Finance/Economics, or related; Master’s preferred
Certification:
Valid Missouri PE and Health certification; Business/Marketing or CTE certification for Personal Finance (or willingness to certify ASAP)
Experience:
3+ years teaching PE, Health, and/or Personal Finance preferred
Skills:
Expertise in fitness pedagogy, health education, financial literacy, and project-based learning
Other:
Eligible to work in the U.S.; clear criminal background check Technology & Safety Proficiency with Microsoft Office, student information systems, and fitness-tracking or financial-simulation software Commitment to gym and classroom safety protocols and emergency procedures Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:40 AM-3:30 PM (occasional evenings/weekends) Ready to Lead, Innovate, and Inspire?
