Position Summary:

The Elementary PE Teacher will develop and implement a physical education program that promotes physical fitness, healthy habits, cooperation, and sportsmanship for students in grades K-5. The teacher will create engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons that foster motor skills, physical literacy, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver daily physical education instruction aligned with state and national standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all students.
• Teach fundamental motor skills, movement patterns, fitness concepts, and responsible personal and social behavior.
• Assess and report student progress in physical education.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate health and wellness concepts.
• Manage equipment and maintain the gymnasium and other physical activity areas.
• Implement strategies that encourage participation and respect for individual differences.
• Participate in school-wide events, parent-teacher conferences, professional development, and faculty meetings.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
