Health & PE Substitute Position Pen Argyl Area School District 1620 Teels Rd, Pen Argyl, PA 18072 Health and PE Teacher (Grades 4/5 PE, Grades 6-8 Health) – Anticipated Start Date August 25, 2025 Wind Gap Middle School, Pen Argyl School District, is looking for a talented teacher to fulfill a position as a 4th and 5th grade Physical Education and 6th-8th grade Health teacher in our school. This is a day to day substitute HPE for a family medical leave. The start date is anticipated as August 25, 2025, our first student day. Our students deserve the best, so we are looking for an individual who has a solid understanding of Health and Physical Education pedagogy, a high drive to foster student success, and knowledge of best practices to meet the diverse needs of our students. We value hard working individuals who are willing to be leaders in instruction and part of a team approach to learning within a middle school. Applicants must hold or are scheduled to hold a HPE teaching certificate from Pennsylvania. Salary will be in accordance with the current substitute salary schedule. Applicants must upload the Pennsylvania Standard Teaching Application, letter of interest, resume, copy of PA teaching certificate, college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and the following forms current within one year: Act 34 (PA Criminal History), Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History), Act 114 (FBI Fingerprint Check) and Act 82 form. Additional paperwork will be required prior to/upon hire, including but not limited to PA School Health Record with TB test, Act 168 (Disclosure for current and previous employers), and I-9.
