Job Description
Category Schools – General Education Teacher Job Type Contract This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Physical Education teacher who is passionate about promoting health, fitness, and well-being among high school students. The position is a full-time, full-semester contract, running from July 28, 2025, through June 2, 2026, offering a dynamic and impactful teaching experience.
Location:
Fairfax, South Carolina Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging physical education curriculum aligned with state standards for high school students. Foster a positive and inclusive environment encouraging student participation and teamwork. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support growth. Promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle through physical activities and wellness education. Collaborate with school staff to organize and oversee extracurricular sports and fitness programs. Maintain safety standards during all physical activities and ensure proper use of equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid teaching certification/license in Physical Education. Experience teaching middle or high school physical education classes preferred. Strong knowledge of physical fitness, health education, and sports safety protocols. Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop lifelong healthy habits. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
