A postdoctoral position is available in the Finzi-Dunlap lab to investigate transcription regulation / nucleic acid-protein interactions and condensates relevant to chromosomal organization and function. This is an opportunity to conduct interdisciplinary work on topological and phase delimited reactions that drive emergent biological and biochemical behavior.
About the Finzi-Dunlap group:
We are experts in single molecule approaches which reveal fundamental details in the biophysics / biological physics of living systems. Some current areas of investigation are: (i) transcription and its regulation, (ii) DNA mechanics relevant to chromosome structure and function, (iii) molecular crowding and condensates. The lab is equipped with microscopes for tethered particle motion, atomic force, magnetic tweezing, and correlative (three color) fluorescence and optical tweezing (C-Trap) experiments. About the
