Location Atlanta, GA Job Summary The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs(https://inta.gatech.edu/) at the Georgia Institute of Technologyin Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for multiple open rank,tenure-track faculty positions in the areas of Digital Systems andInternational Affairs. These appointments are part of a strategiccluster hire initiative coordinated with the School ofCybersecurity and Privacy. The expected start date is Fall 2025.Scholars with a research specialization at the intersection ofinternational affairs and digital systems are encouraged to apply.

Potential research topics of interest include but are not limitedto the security, governance, economic, privacy, resilience, justiceand equity, development, or geographical aspects of informationtechnology, communication infrastructure, digital devices, datasystems, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, syntheticbiology, or augmented reality. We invite applicants withdisciplinary backgrounds in political science, internationalrelations, sociology, STS, history, public policy, andinterdisciplinary researchers with backgrounds at the intersectionsof computing and social sciences.

Applicants to this cluster hirecan be considered for joint appointments including with the Schoolof Cybersecurity and Privacy within the College of Computing.

Specifics of any joint appointment will be based upon the needs ofthe schools and the intellectual fit of the applicant. Responsibilities Along with undergraduate and graduateteaching, each position requires a balance of research and serviceresponsibilities.

The ability to mentor and assist studentsinterested in pursuing graduate education.

The ability to engagestudents in experiential learning activities and pedagogy thatsupport student success.

The ability to adopt teaching strategiesthat support the learning and success of all students.

Has expertisein teaching, scholarship, and/or service that contributes to highereducation. Required Qualifications An earned doctorate is required by the start of theappointment. Preferred Qualifications Candidate should have a record ofexcellent scholarly research and demonstrated expertise in thefield.

The ability to design and teach curricula and mentor adistinct student body.
