Description:

The Department of Government at Dartmouth College invites applications for a Lecturer in Comparative Politics. The area of research is open. Applicants should be prepared to teach an introductory course in comparative politics and other electives for undergraduate students. Preference will be given to candidates who possess teaching experience in some of the courses to be taught. This position is non-remote, in-residence at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. The teaching assignment will be 3 or 4 courses during the 2025-26 academic year. Lecturers may teach up to 2 courses per term during any of Dartmouth’s four 10-week quarters (Summer 2025 through Spring 2026). The position includes pro-rated benefits if the courses are taught across three consecutive terms. Qualified candidates who can offer the introductory course in comparative politics during Fall 2025 and/or Winter 2026 are particularly encouraged to apply. Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Political Science or a related field, or ABD with degree conferred by the start date. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
