Director of Early Childhood Education The Cove Childcare & Preschool 111 Lily Flagg Road SW, Huntsville, AL 35802 The Cove Childcare & Preschool is a high-quality, faith-based early learning center dedicated to cultivating minds, strengthening faith, and shaping futures. Located in Huntsville, Alabama, The Cove serves families with children from 6 weeks to 5 years old in a nurturing, academically rich environment grounded in Christian values. Our mission is to build strong foundations for lifelong learning while supporting families and educators in under-resourced communities. We are currently seeking a Director of Early Childhood Education to serve as the Head of School. This leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, driving instructional excellence, stewarding community partnerships, and modeling Christ-centered leadership across the school community. Key Responsibilities Lead all aspects of early childhood program administration including licensing, compliance, curriculum, and staff development Maintain a joyful, professional, and spiritually rooted culture for teachers, children, and families Guide instructional planning and child development practices in alignment with The Cove’s mission and early learning standards Manage enrollment, budgets, scheduling, and reporting processes Engage families through effective communication, family support services, and events Cultivate community relationships and partnerships for program growth and outreach Promote faith-based leadership by weaving Christian values into everyday interactions and learning experiences Support potential program expansion and strategic planning initiatives Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family Studies, or a related field Minimum 3-5 years of early childhood leadership or administrative experience Deep understanding of early childhood development, family engagement, and instructional best practices Demonstrated leadership in Christian ministry or community outreach Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Commitment to serving diverse populations, especially underserved or under-resourced communities Application Requirements Only applicants who complete all required application materials will be considered.
