This position involves assessing clients’ needs, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic interventions to promote recovery. The counselor will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities Implement outcomes Ensure that all State and Federal Regulations, including joint commission accreditation standards are maintained at all times Participates in the development of new policies and is responsible for implementation of them. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies, procedures and applicable laws. Knowledge of emergency procedures; ability to communicate these clearly and accurately to staff. Interviews/recommends departmental staff for hire, trains, evaluates, disciplines and recommends for termination, monitors work performance and completes performance evaluations. Understands and can speak on the phone with insurance companies with regards to utilization review. Ensure and maintain the confidential nature of all patients and facility activities. Is primarily responsible for the Clinical program used in organization Can structure clinical program with continuity, and with regards to client’s goals Knowledge in current “best-practices” & 12-Step Conducts daily morning meetings with clinical staff Be a team player with the administrative team and clinical staff Works with Clinical staff to develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate prevention and educational activities Coordinate all treatment, prevention and case management services Assigns caseloads, duties to therapists Facilitates individual, group or family counseling sessions Maintenance of the clinical charts Monitors all documentation including treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, biopsychosocial assessments, required demographic reports, and discharge documentation. Review and sign off on progress notes weekly, all assessments, and treatment plans Reviews all clinical notes by therapists and case managers in KIPU Maintains a professional, organized, clean working environment as dictated by organizational policies and safety standards Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professional and caring attitudes and behaviors toward co-workers, patients, and guests. Minimum of 3 years in supervising clinical staff. Licensed Qualified Supervisor in Florida Skills Strong ability to manage client caseloads effectively while ensuring high-quality care. Knowledge of JCAHO standards and regulations related to substance abuse treatment. Mastery of DCF (65d30) Standards Experience in healthcare management, particularly within mental health or addiction services. Proficiency in medical management practices relevant to substance abuse counseling. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and multidisciplinary teams. Empathy and compassion for individuals facing challenges related to substance use disorders. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
