Job Description

Preschool Director Designee 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Monroe, LA 71201 Prevailing Faith Christian Academy is seeking an organized, dynamic, and highly motivated individual to serve as the Preschool Director Designee for our Type III Early Learning Center. This multi-faceted role is essential in supporting daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring licensing compliance, and upholding our commitment to quality early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative & Office Management

  • Promptly respond to staff, student, and parent inquiries
  • Receive and direct visitors, providing professional and welcoming service
  • Maintain and coordinate school calendars, appointments, meetings, and schedules for staff and leadership
  • Manage office communication, including phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Oversee and maintain organized filing systems for staff, student, and compliance records Compliance & Licensing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with Louisiana Type III Child Care Licensing requirements
  • Ensure all files, forms, and staff records meet DCFS and health/safety standards
  • Support the Director in preparing for licensing inspections, audits, and ongoing compliance Staff & Program Support
  • Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new staff, ensuring all state-required background checks and documentation are completed
  • Maintain staff training records, including Louisiana Pathways Registry entries and continuing education requirements
  • Distribute and monitor daily task lists for staff and substitutes, providing oversight and support as needed
CCAP & INK

Early Head Start Program Administration

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) , assisting families with applications, eligibility verification, and ongoing documentation
  • Coordinate with INK Early Head Start, ensuring required forms and assessments are completed and submitted
  • Track and manage attendance, meal counts, and reporting for grant and reimbursement programs Recordkeeping & Data Entry
  • Accurately enter data into required systems (e.g., SER, TS GOLD, Procare, and state reporting portals )
  • Prepare, file, and securely store required documents (enrollment, health, attendance, incident/accident reports) Facility & Supplies Management
  • Take inventory and order office, classroom, and cleaning supplies as needed
  • Oversee vendor relationships and contracts for supplies and facility services Communication & Outreach
  • Maintain positive relationships with families , vendors, community partners, and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with the creation of newsletters, email campaigns, and marketing materials
  • Coordinate school events, meetings, and training sessions
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood, Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
  • Administrative experience in a licensed Louisiana child care center, school, or similar setting
  • Experience working with Louisiana Type III licensing standards and DCFS regulations
  • Familiarity with
CCAP, INK

Early Head Start, and Louisiana’s licensing systems (SER, TS GOLD, Louisiana Pathways Registry)

  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and manage sensitive records
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and online data management platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supervising or managing early childhood staff
  • Notary Public or willingness to obtain certification Additional Requirements (per Louisiana Licensing):
  • Ability to pass Louisiana Child Care Criminal Background Check
  • Current certifications in Pediatric CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Completion of required health and safety training (can be completed upon hire)
  • Participation in ongoing professional development as required by Louisiana Pathways and DCFS We are looking forward to reading your application.

Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation depends on your experience.
