Director of School Operations at Real Life Learning Center Real Life Learning Center Somerville, MA 02145 Position Summary Real Life Learning Center, a Christ-centered private school in Boston, is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Director of School Operations to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of our school. This individual will play a vital leadership role in supporting our teachers, students, and families, ensuring that our academic programs, staff management, and school systems align with our core Christian values and standards of excellence. This is a full-time, salaried position requiring a consistent on-site presence from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. While the Director of School Operations holds a key leadership role, they are not expected to carry the weight of decisions alone. The Director will work closely with the school board, which serves as a collaborative resource for guidance, support, and accountability in major decisions. As well as, tasks assigned to teachers and volunteers who are available to assist with events, administration tasks, and daily operations needed. Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Oversight & Teacher Support Conduct regular classroom check-ins to ensure students are progressing academically. Organize and host bi-weekly teacher meetings to provide support, share updates, and address challenges. Ensure teachers have the necessary resources and support to maintain a strong learning environment. And are attending school regularly. Checking in with parents if students have too many tardies and keeping record of dismissals due to doctors appointments. Keep record of doctors notes. Oversee academic tracking and ensure alignment with state educational standards, including preparation for state testing, PSATs, and SATs. Making sure highschool students Parent & Community Relations The Director will serve as a key point of contact for families and community members. Responsibilities include addressing student conduct concerns with parents in a respectful and solution-oriented manner, providing tours of the school to prospective families, and maintaining regular communication with those interested in enrollment. The Director is also responsible for documenting and reporting any incidents that occur on campus, ensuring clear records and proper follow-up. Operations & Administrative Duties Responsible for managing all school finances including incoming and outgoing funds and ensuring that all expenses, payments, and budgeting align with the school’s mission and operational needs. Manage teacher payroll and ensure timely, accurate compensation. Oversee school-wide communication, sending weekly emails to staff and families with important updates and reminders. Maintain organized student records and grades, ensuring compliance with all academic standards and reporting. Coordinate field trips and organize additional school activities and events. Lead fundraising efforts and pursue scholarship outreach, maintaining strong relationships with external partners. Admissions & Outreach Assist with student recruitment, especially during the summer months, by organizing registration and enrollment. Attend local networking events to promote the school and build community partnerships.

Compensation & Benefits Weekly Salary:

Approximately $800/week One-Year Contract with potential for renewal based on performance and fit. Paid during all school vacations, including: Thanksgiving Break Winter Break (Christmas/New Year’s) February Vacation April Vacation All recognized school holidays are paid

Organized, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks efficiently, and maintain structure in a fast-paced school environment. Bachelor’s degree required; background in education, administration, or operations strongly preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Self-motivated, community-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. $40,000.00 – $42,000.00 per year
