Characteristics of Work Under the direction of the AssociateVice President of Head Start and Early Childhood Programs, theCenter Administrator Mentor will provide mentoring to classroomstaff through guidance, coaching, modeling, training, support, andinformation in the following areas (CLASS, TS Gold, ClassroomManagement, Curriculum planning/lesson plans, classroom set up,Transitions, and other areas as identified). This position worksclosely with the teaching staff and the Children’s ServicesDirector to coordinate classroom-related activities that supportthe Professional Development of staff and contribute to successfulchild outcomes. Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in EarlyChildhood Education or a related field two (2) years experience ofhaving worked with preschool children and families in a childdevelopment program. Ability to communicate effectively.
Supervisory Control The Mentor Coach is directly responsible to theChildren’s Services Director, who is responsible to the VicePresident, Head Start and Early Childhood Programs. The MentorCoach will be evaluated semi-annually by the Children’s ServicesDirector. The evaluation will be conducted through a process ofperformance monitoring and progress reviews. The evaluation will bereviewed and approved by the Vice President, of Head Start andEarly Childhood Programs.
