The Director’s primary responsibilities include processing monthly preschool payments and weekly after-school payments, supporting lesson planning, adhering to class schedules, maintaining effective communication with parents and administrative staff, and demonstrating strong classroom and time management skills. The Director will implement activities in alignment with the approved curriculum to address the spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children. Additionally, the Director will provide support to lead teachers and assistants as needed and oversee program implementation and staff supervision. All employees are expected to ensure that children are adequately cared for and supervised at all times. The CCA Director is also expected to serve as a supportive Christian leader within the community and the church. Education and /or Experience

  • Preferred:

    three or more years of experience working with young children.

  • Required:

    associate degree or higher in early childhood education/development or a related field, or equivalent experience and education.

  • Ability to speak and write standard English appropriate in a Christian private school setting.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and TB testing.
  • Possess excellent communication, supervisory, administrative, and fiscal management skills.
  • Possess a current North Carolina driver’s license. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement & oversee a comprehensive Biblical curriculum in the classroom, incorporating prayer, Bible stories, activities, songs, and scripture memorization to ensure a well-rounded biblical education for the children
  • Report and document all injuries and incidents promptly, following the established Safe Sanctuary protocol for notifications to parents and the CCA Board Chair.
  • Foster a positive team environment, stay organized, provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, while maintaining confidentiality regarding children and families communicating regularly with the CCA Board, staff, and parents.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and apply effective teaching methods, encouragement techniques, and positive discipline strategies using restorative practices.
  • Collaborate successfully with colleagues; Set annual goals with lead teachers and assistants.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving abilities while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
  • Commit to ongoing education and training as required.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions, staff meetings, and teacher workdays.
  • Be flexible and willing to assist in various areas as needed.
  • Prepare the children’s basement for church activities to ensure uninterrupted ministry time.
  • Communicate any issues to the CCA Board Chair and Next Gen Minister, collaborating to find solutions.
  • Promote a healthy team environment by refraining from gossip or communication that could negatively impact other team members.
  • Affirm and support Center Church’s statement of faith.
  • Engage in regular discussions with the CCA Board Chair regarding job performance and classroom management.
  • Abide by organizational and site policies, following procedures established by the church’s Safe Sanctuary program.
  • Manage and help organize a week of summer camp, if offered.
  • Assist with Vacation Bible School as needed.
  • Support Center Church’s statement of faith.
  • Participate in and support CCA’s fundraising initiatives.
  • Attend monthly meetings of the CCA Advisory Board.
