Greystone Baptist Preschool is seeking a Preschool Director to lead our warm, welcoming, and experienced team in continuing our mission of providing high-quality, nurturing care for young children in a faith-based setting. Preschool Director Schedule :

Approximately 25 hours/week, Monday through

Friday Duration :

Permanent Year-round (12-month position)

Administration:

Manage daily preschool operations and administer policies with excellence and care Collect and record all tuition payments Work with Weekday Preschool Council to set annual operating budget Purchase supplies and equipment Maintain positive, harmonious relationships with others who share facilities of Greystone Baptist Church. Program Management Plan, coordinate and implement annual registration drive to lead to full enrollment Plan, coordinate and implement annual summer camp program and registration drive Review and approve lesson plans and curriculum choices to ensure activities are developmentally appropriate Ensure classrooms have necessary equipment and supplies and that the indoor and outdoor environments are well maintained and safe Provide staff with information regarding community resources that are available to meet the needs of children in preschool; support referrals to appropriate agencies Staff Management Supervise and mentor staff with warmth, professionalism, and vision Recruit and interview new staff, hire and terminate staff with approval from the Weekday Preschool Council Approve staff timesheets and provide payroll to church CPA Observe and give feedback to classroom staff on a regular basis Complete annual staff evaluations Plan and facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings and professional development opportunities for staff. Approve and track staff personal leave days and ensure a substitute is provided for absent staff. Recruitment and Family Engagement Build strong relationships with families and supporting open communication Plan and facilitate Parent Open House and be available to discuss curriculum or other issues with parents Protect the privacy and confidentiality of the children and parents Promote a safe, joyful, and enriching environment for children to thrive Ideal Candidate Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field, AND at least 2 years of experience in preschool or early childhood program leadership Prior Preschool administrative experience preferred, knowledge of Procare a plus A clean criminal history Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills CPR/First Aid/SIDS certified (or willing to become certified upon hire) Able to work within the operating hours of the preschool (the preschool schedule aligns with the Wake County School system calendar and the director’s work schedule would be 8:30 – 1:30 during normal school hours) How to Apply If you feel called to nurture, guide, and lead in this special environment, we’d love to hear from you.
