Elmhurst, Queens Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Preschool Director to join our team. The Preschool Director will be responsible for daily facilities management, staffing management, program administration, and parental communication and involvement. The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing high-quality education and childcare services, while ensuring compliance with all state and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily operations of the center, including staffing, facilities, and program administration. Ensure that all classrooms are safe, attractive, and developmentally appropriate for children. Develop and implement education curriculum, arts, and enrichment programs. Review weekly lesson plans, daily reports, and address parent concerns and questions. Promote a professional environment between parents, teachers, and staff. Participate in hiring educational staff, enrichment activities, and specialty teachers. Coordinate parent/teacher conferences to share development milestones of enrolled children. Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations, including Article 47. Schedule parent/teacher conference meetings and staff meetings. Manage curriculum and parent communications. Participate in facility tours and family interviews as required by Program Director. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents, children, and staff.

Requirements:

At least three years of center leadership/management experience. Professional teaching experience with infant to preschool children. Bachelor’s degree or above in ECE or related field required. New York State Teaching Certification in

N-6, B-2, 1-6

Special Education B-2 or 1-6. Working knowledge of DOH regulations and codes, and ability to handle site inspections. Has or is willing to go for

FDNY F07 AND S95

within the first two months. Food Protection CPR Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must pass state and company background checks.

From $75,000-$90,000 per year Time Off Benefits Schedule 8:30-5:30pm

3 weeks (15 business days) of paid vacation annually

Sick Leave :

Up to 5 paid sick days per year

Federal Holidays 12 month Fulltime position, contract based
