Education Responsibilities:

Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety Oversee the implementation of our proprietary LEAP curriculum and Phonics with Phoebe reading program, Create a HAPPY environment for our little learners, Develop and lead classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children Actively engage with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child’s program Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning

People Leadership:

Identify, schedule, and interview prospective teacher candidates. Conduct classroom observations and evaluations, providing constructive feedback to inspire and enhance teaching effectiveness. Lead the team to implement the TLE curriculum in accordance with brand standards. Utilize a growth mindset to train, coach, and develop staff for future success. Address employee concerns objectively and plan appropriate courses of action. Develop and communicate weekly schedules. Oversee daily classroom ratios to ensure compliance. Create and manage center schedules to maintain appropriate ratios and manage labor within budget constraints.

Customer Focus:

Conduct tours for prospective families, emphasizing the unique features and advantages of the curriculum, and highlighting the experience and quality of the teaching staff. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress. Implement “parent pleasers” within the school to enhance the customer experience. Ensure the effective execution of the Show and Tell app. Regularly audit and maintain accurate records and files for students and teachers. Ensure the physical environment and health/safety standards fully comply with local and state licensing regulations. Manage relationships with state licensors and conduct center evaluations. Oversee accident/incident reporting processes. Manage medication administration protocols. Conduct monthly emergency safety drills. Handle new customer administration and ensure all files comply with state licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

All candidates must have at least 3 years experience working in an early childhood setting, and have their BA in early childhood education. All candidates must have their NY teaching certification in early childhood education, PreK -2nd grade or birth through grade 2. The starting salary for this position is competitive with a $1000 signing bonus. The position requires full time hours. A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education At least two years of documented experience as a group teacher in a program for children under six years of age Valid certification issued by the State Education Department Two or more years of center leadership/management experience is highly preferred. A minimum of one year of center leadership/management experience is required.
