Job Description:

The Assistant Director will assist in the daily operations ofthe Radiant Academy Child Development Center. They will ensure asafe and educational environment for young children, manageteaching staff, develop curricula in coordination with teachers,communicate with parents, and uphold the center’s reputation.

We arelooking to hire a qualified Child Development Assistant Director tomanage our day-to-day operations and establish a positive learningenvironment for children. Responsibilities include overseeingeducation programs that comply with local and federal regulations,maintaining facilities, supporting daycare staff, and managing thecenter’s financial affairs.

The successful candidate will havedemonstrable experience managing all aspects of a Child DevelopmentCenter and possess strong leadership skills. A friendly demeanor,knowledge of childcare facility requirements, a love for children,and a commitment to creating a supportive environment areessential. Early childhood development experience is a plus.

RoleResponsibilities:

Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment forchildren. Manage and coordinate curricula with staff that comply withstate and federal requirements. Ensure safety and regulatory compliance of centerfacilities. Evaluate and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies. Support and manage teaching staff, promoting their professionaldevelopment. Interview, hire, and train new staff, ensuring policy and legalcompliance. Complete ongoing training to stay current on daycare standardsand procedures. Communicate with parents regarding their children and centerpolicies. Oversee the budget and financial accounts to ensureprofitability. Develop and execute marketing and communicationplans.

Requirements:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in early childhood education preferred. Licensure required; the center accepts ABC vouchers. Compliance with local, state, and federal child care laws. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-managementskills. Friendly and approachable demeanor. Professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic.

Experience instarting a daycare is a plus, as this is a new facility taking overan existing one.
