Then the Bethesda Christian School is the place to come! BCS is seeking a Director for the next school year. We are a Christian preschool facility housed within the Bethesda Presbyterian Church serving children ages two through four. We are looking for a Director who will continue to build upon the success and culture established by the professionals at the school. The Director is responsible for the daily interaction with the children, the families and the teachers to ensure the cohesiveness of classroom learning and overall educational and spiritual enrichment. The Director oversees the work of the teaching faculty, manages communication and administrative responsibilities, and is a conduit for the BCS Board to implement the mission of the school.

Responsibilities including:

Serve as an outreach ministry of the church. Ensure the preschool adheres to all licensing regulations, fire, health and safety standards, and relevant laws. Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, classroom management, and maintenance. Develop marketing and recruitment plans, conducting tours, and managing the enrollment process Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff members. Supervise hiring, training and assessing the staff. Maintain constant communication with parents and families via parent portal, email, and text, including social media. Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly when interacting with parents, staff and church staff and members. Manage tuition payments, maintaining required files and timely communication. Plan school events, organize service projects, and develop the school calendar Maintain and update staff and parent handbooks, along with the manual and policy.

Minimum Job Requirements include:

A bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field Minimum of three years prior experience working with young children, preferably in a teaching capacity or in a preschool environment Prefer experience in childcare administration Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks Required to pass a SLED background and fingerprint check Those interested in the Director position should submit a cover letter, resume and at least three professional references to bethesda@bethesdapresbyterianchurch.org by Friday, May 30, 2025.
