After School Director – St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Challengers Program St. Luke’s United Methodist Church 480 South Highland Street, Memphis, TN 38111 Overview Are you passionate about working with children and making a positive impact outside of the classroom? St. Luke’s Challengers Program is seeking a part – time Afterschool Program Director to lead our program serving ages kindergarten through 9th grade students. Ideal for educators or those exploring a career in youth development, graduate students or recent college graduates. Responsibilities Create job postings, review applications, interview candidates, distribute new hire paperwork and coordinate with the church business office to ensure all tax records, direct deposit information and other required forms are completed Track expenses and outstanding invoices, following budget line items Market the Challengers program through social media, email, website and word of mouth and schedule tours as needed Keep all registration paperwork up to date and in compliance with state and federal policies for a childcare center Plan quarterly Challengers’ board meetings Update Brightwheel weekly with new forms and information Manage the distribution of medicine and corresponding paperwork Maintain communication with parents, volunteers, staff, church staff and the cleaning company Adhere to St. Luke’s Safe Sanctuaries policy at all times Organize transportation Plan snacks and activities and assign counselors to classrooms Experience Experience working with children in an educational or recreational program Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills Bachelor’s degree preferred First Aid & CPR certified (or willingness to obtain certification)
