We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Director to lead our early childhood education program in its next chapter of growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood development and a commitment to building a strong team of dedicated, nurturing group of teachers for our young children. The Preschool Director will oversee the daily operations of the preschool, including lesson planning, classroom management, and staff supervision.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards and meet the needs of our diverse student body.
  • Supervise and mentor teachers, providing guidance on classroom management, lesson planning, and child development.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Foster a sense of community among students, parents, and staff through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to teachers on areas of improvement.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations and community resources to enhance our program and provide additional support to students and families.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and communication with parents.
  • Recruit and hire new staff members as needed, ensuring a diverse and qualified team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development and early childhood education principles.
  • Proven experience in lesson planning and classroom management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Familiarity with state and local regulations and guidelines for early childhood education.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
