Preschool Teacher Calvary Resurrection Christian Academy Birmingham, AL 35215 Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role involves implementing engaging curriculum activities that promote learning through play and exploration while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction among children. Conduct regular assessments of student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to promote good conduct. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Skills Strong background in Childcare and Preschool education. Knowledge of Early Intervention strategies to support children with diverse needs. Experience in Daycare settings with a focus on nurturing young learners. Proficient in Classroom Management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment. Ability to provide Tutoring support for literacy education and other subjects as needed. Experience in Curriculum Development tailored for preschool-aged children. Familiarity with Montessori methods or similar educational philosophies is a plus. Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, and colleagues effectively. A genuine passion for working with young children and contributing positively to their growth and development.
