Early Head Start Teacher Position Available In Macon, Alabama

We are seeking an

• Early Head Start Teacher
• to work at one of our 4 centers located in Tuskegee and Macon County.

• ROLE SUMMARY

• : This position is responsible for the planning, implementation and administration of classroom activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth and well-being of infant and toddler children.

Creates a safe and nurturing environment in which 12-month-old through three-year-old children can enhance perceptual, motor and physical development, language and literacy skills, cognitive development, approaches to learning and social and emotional development and relationships, developing age-appropriate social and self-help skills.

• MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, or GED
• Child Development Accreditation (CDA) Infant-Toddler
• Must have a minimum of (2) years’ experience working in early childhood education/infants and toddlers
• Must have the ability to work with a culturally diverse group of individuals
• Must meet criteria for background screening as required for childcare licensing and federal regulations.

• PREFERRED

• Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• 3+ years experience working in early childhood education/infants and toddlers
• CPR and First Aid Certified
• Worked for a Head Start program previously
