Lead Pre-K Teacher New Birth Missionary Baptist Church Pre-K Program Huntsville, AL 35811 Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of preschool-aged children. The Lead Pre-K Teacher will be responsible for implementing engaging lesson plans that foster literacy, math skills, and overall growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social and emotional development. Monitor and assess students’ progress in literacy, math, and other developmental areas. Collaborate with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns. Maintain an organized classroom that promotes learning through play and exploration. Incorporate special education strategies as needed to support diverse learning needs. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred. Experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or private school settings. Knowledge of literacy education techniques and math concepts suitable for young learners. Strong skills in lesson planning tailored to the developmental stages of preschoolers. Experience in toddler care is a plus. Ability to create engaging activities that stimulate learning through play. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
