Job Description

Preschool Teacher Ford’s Chapel Learning Center 280 Ford Chapel Drive, Harvest, AL 35749 Overview We are seeking passionate and dedicated Preschool Teachers to join our team at Ford’s Chapel Learning Center for the 2025-2026 school year. We have positions available in multiple age groups. Ford’s Chapel Learning Center is a ministry of Ford’s Chapel United Methodist Church. We are a religious exempt program through DHR. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing the growth and development of young children in a supportive and engaging environment. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to create a positive learning atmosphere that fosters curiosity, creativity, and social skills among preschool-aged children. We follow the Madison County Schools calendar our school hours are Monday through Friday, 9am-1pm with an optional Extended Care until 4pm. Applicants must be at least 19. All employees are run through the DHR and CA/N databases. Experience in Education/Childcare or a related field is preferred. Duties Implement age-appropriate lesson plans. Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Provide individualized attention to each child, ensuring their unique needs are met. Foster a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Monitor children’s progress and maintain accurate records of their development. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Skills Background in childcare and preschool education. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Experience with curriculum development tailored for young learners. Familiarity with toddler care techniques and strategies for promoting child welfare. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
