Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children to learn, grow, and have fun. This is a paid position that offers valuable experience in childcare and education.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers at all times
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, and crafts
- Foster a positive and inclusive camp environment
- Teach and educate campers on various topics
- Assist with behavior management and conflict resolution
- Provide guidance and support to campers in their personal growth
- Collaborate with other counselors to create a well-rounded camp experience
- Maintain accurate records of camper attendance and incidents
Skills:
- Strong behavior management skills
- Experience working with children or students in a classroom, daycare, or similar setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Ability to educate and engage campers in various activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Christian counseling experience (preferred but not required)
- Special education or early childhood education background (preferred but not required)
