Child Care Teacher First Baptist Church of Mobile Child Development Center Mobile, AL 36602 Job Overview FBC Mobile is looking for a teacher to join our Child Development Center team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our care. You will play a crucial role in their early development by implementing educational activities that promote learning and growth. Responsibilities Provide attentive caregiving and support to toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being. Manage children’s behavior positively, using effective strategies to encourage appropriate interactions. Foster an engaging learning environment through play-based activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Communicate effectively with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns. Collaborate with fellow staff members. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving, daycare, or as a nanny is a plus. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support positive interactions among children. Ability to educate children through creative play, structured activities, and hands-on learning experiences. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. A nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for fostering children’s growth and development. Candidate must pass a background check. CPR Certification and Food Handling Certification preferred.
