The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities and play. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to manage a classroom effectively. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development. Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Monitor and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to guide children’s actions. Engage in caregiving tasks such as diaper changing, feeding, and ensuring the overall well-being of children in your care. Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and any incidents that occur during the day. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare and education. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education, including first aid and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in a daycare setting or similar educational environment is preferred. Familiarity with childhood development principles is essential. Skills in classroom management and behavior management are highly valued. Experience working with toddlers or young children is a plus, including caregiving or nannying experience. Certification in first aid/CPR is desirable but not mandatory; training may be provided.
