Full Job Description Auxiliary Teacher:

Credential requirement: minimum CDA or 3 completed courses in early childhood development

Duties:

• Supports lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and cultural awareness
• Maintain accurate records of each child’s progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom
• Follow all licensing regulations and maintain a clean and organized classroom environment

Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment
• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of individual children
• Creativity in designing engaging activities that promote learning through play
• Strong organizational skills to manage classroom materials, records, and documentation This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth within our organization.

This position is Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:30 pm and is available through May 2025. Opportunities to continue employment once the school year ends.
