Daycare Provider Rob & Nyri’s Day Care Service 12 Laurel Avenue, Derby, CT 06418 Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for children. This position involves working with toddlers and infants, focusing on their developmental needs while ensuring a safe and engaging atmosphere. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social interaction. Duties Educate and engage children through structured activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Provide attentive care to toddlers and infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Develop lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and developmental stages. Monitor children’s behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies. Collaborate with parents to discuss children’s progress and address any concerns regarding their development. Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment. Support children with disabilities or special educational needs through tailored caregiving approaches. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Qualifications Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred, particularly with toddlers and infants. Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Strong caregiving skills with the ability to manage diverse needs within a daycare setting. Familiarity with special education practices is a plus, especially for working with children with disabilities. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to implement behavior management techniques in a positive manner. A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their growth in a daycare environment.
