Infant/Toddler Teacher Handprints Preschool 81 Clintonville Road, North Haven, CT 06473 Company Overview Handprints Preschool is a small, independent private preschool and childcare center located in North Haven, CT. We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, with a maximum capacity of 37 children. Our programs are designed to cater to the developmental needs of young learners, offering both half-day and full-day options. Summary We are seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join our team at Handprints Preschool. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe and engaging learning environment that fosters the growth and development of our young students. Your contributions will play a vital role in shaping their early educational experiences. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education. Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment for children. Monitor and assess children’s progress, adapting teaching methods as needed. Engage with parents and caregivers to discuss children’s development and address any concerns. Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students. Requirements Experience in childcare or preschool settings is highly desirable. Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education practices. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff. Ability to manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive environment.
