Position:
A warm and dedicated private family is seeking an experienced and certified Montessori Preschool Teacher to provide personalized, high-quality early childhood education to their young children in a home-based environment. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, stimulating, and structured learning space grounded in the Montessori philosophy, while adapting to the unique pace and interests of the child.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement a Montessori curriculum appropriate for ages 2.5-5 years, incorporating practical life, sensorial, math, language, and cultural activities. Maintain a prepared and organized learning environment that encourages independence and curiosity. Observe and assess the child’s development, adjusting lessons and materials to support their individual growth. Foster emotional, social, and cognitive development through respectful communication and guidance. Collaborate with the family to align on developmental goals, routines, and progress updates. Organize outdoor and nature-based learning experiences, emphasizing movement and hands-on exploration. Maintain Montessori materials and ensure a safe, clean, and peaceful environment.
Qualifications:
AMI, AMS, or MACTE-accredited Montessori certification (Early Childhood level). Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching in a Montessori setting. Passion for Montessori philosophy and respect for child-led learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with young children and parents. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Trustworthy, nurturing, and professional demeanor. Bonus Qualifications (Not Required): Background in early childhood development or additional teaching certifications. Multilingual or musical/artistic talents. Comfortable preparing healthy snacks or light meals for children.
