ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties:
  • Create and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
  • Provide instruction to children in various areas of educational experiences, promoting social emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
  • Utilize different teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes child engagement and participation
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, and other relevant student information
  • Manage classroom behavior and apply appropriate practice measures when necessary
  • Provide supervision and a positive social and learning experience for children in your care
  • Plan and implement appropriate individual activities for the age group you are assigned and conduct evaluation of cognitive skills areas & social and emotional development.
  • Prepare written reports and supervise maintenance of records concerning the child’s attendance, progress, problems, and health and parent contacts.
  • Attend professional and educational conferences and meetings to stay abreast of educational trends and enhance knowledge and skill.
Skills:
  • Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices for teaching young children
  • Classroom management: Ability to create a structured and organized classroom environment that supports learning.
  • Lesson planning: Skill in creating engaging and effective lesson plans that meet educational objectives of each
  • Behavior management: Ability to effectively manage children’s behavior and create a positive learning environment
  • Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of childhood development and how it impacts learning.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
  • Active CDA (Florida Childcare Professional Credential Certificate) or Degree in Childcare Education 45 hour Mandated Childcare Training within 3 months of hire.
