Island Point Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32218 Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages, ensuring their safety, and fostering their development through engaging activities. Responsibilities Provide attentive and nurturing care for children in a safe environment. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development. Pick-up my son from school at 2:45 pm and keep him either in our apartment or yours until about 4:45 pm when my husband can pick him up Monday through Friday and Wednesdays are pick up at 1:45 Assist with daily routines including meal preparation, feeding, diaper changes, and nap times. Maintain a clean and organized play area, ensuring all toys and materials are safe for use. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Monitor children’s behavior and provide guidance to encourage positive social interactions. Administer first aid when necessary and maintain awareness of children’s health needs. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs. Experience Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or nannying is preferred. Familiarity with infant care and caregiving practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus; certification is encouraged. Experience working with children with disabilities is beneficial but not required. A genuine love for children along with patience, creativity, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
