Our mission is to empower children to grow academically, athletically, and personally through various programs including tutoring, summer camps, and sports clinics. Summary As a Camp Counselor at TRUE Youth Florida, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children in grades 1st-8. You will facilitate educational activities and sports programs that encourage personal growth and teamwork among participants. Responsibilities Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Plan and implement educational and recreational activities that promote learning and teamwork. Assist in tutoring sessions to support campers’ academic growth. Manage behavior effectively to maintain a positive camp environment. Communicate regularly with parents regarding camper progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth camp operations. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive atmosphere. Ability to educate and tutor students effectively in various subjects. Knowledge of childhood development principles is preferred. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt activities as needed.
