The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for fostering a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as language, motor skills, and social interaction. Supervise and engage with children during activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior. Provide individualized attention to children, including those with disabilities or special needs, to support their unique learning requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children. Requirements Previous experience in preschool or childcare settings is preferred. DCF training is preferred Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices. CPR Certified is a plus. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while promoting positive behavior management strategies. Knowledge of infant care practices is beneficial for those working with younger age groups. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
