Float teacher needed Milestone Academy Temple Terrace, FL 33637 We are looking for loving, patient, reliable, organized individuals to join our team! We are a growing preschool and are looking for a floater that can work with different age groups. Would do cover when teachers when they are out, cover breaks, and go where needed. May also help out in the office when needed, giving potty breaks, doing paperwork, etc. We are willing to train the right people. Must be 18, have a high school diploma, pass a background screening and a drug test. Must be willing to take online and possibly in person trainings. The most important aspect is your temperament. We want staff that love children, love to learn, and have the patience to work with our children. Clock hours and experience are required, CDA a big plus but not absolutely necessary. Hours are 10:00 Am to 6:00Pm but may be a little flexible. Responsibilities Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.) Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times Track children’s progress and report to parents Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche Collaborate with other educators Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards Must be able to physically lift up to 50 pounds for diaper changing
