An associates or bachelor’s level degree within a child-related field (i.e., early childhood education, communication sciences and disorders, psychology, infant-toddler developmental specialist, occupational therapy, speech therapy) and experience/understanding Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP) is required. The interventionist’s primary responsibility would be to assist the lead teacher in daily routines and activities with a group of 8-9 children. Training on implementation of Personalized Educational Plans will be provided, as well as the opportunity for professional development in sensory integration and self-regulation. The interventionist will engage the children within individual and small-group routines and promote the healthy development of skills needed for success within social and academic environments. Through meaningful activities and play, the interventionist will facilitate progress within a nurturing and fun environment. Additionally, Milieu is seeking an interventionist committed to professional self-reflection and growth within our team.
