This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old.

Responsibilities:

Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.

• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop weekly lesson plans and routines.
• Maintain record of individual child progress and reports.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
• Create seasonal materials within the classroom to compliment authentic Montessori materials.
• Communicate with parents and director on students’ growth and progress.
• Maintain the health and safety of all students.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Montessori Certified AMS or AMI Educator in early childhood or working towards its certification.
• Completed state minimum requirements: 40 educational hrs, staff credential, fingerprints, VPK Endorsed preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a teacher.
• English mandatory, Preferred Bilingual.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
