Teacher:
STARS Global Preparatory seeks an Early Education Special Needs Teacher who exemplifies what it means to be a teacher for the 2025-2026 academic year. Our school is comprised of students from both S TARS Global Preparatory and our
S.T.A.R.S.
Student Support Service program. As a school culture, we look for teachers who have pedagogical practices like coaching, being highly flexible, and being data-driven. We look for teachers who define their teaching method by maximizing their potential by leveraging the school’s resources and training.
Requirement:
Teachers who use a coaching teacher approach at STARS Global Preparatory and the
S.T.A.R.S.
Student Support Service program are essentially not providing answers to students; instead, our teachers emphasize asking the right questions, and students should be able to find the answers through demonstration and group activities. We also maintain that STAR’s Global Preparatory teachers are very adaptive. Each class is unique, as are the lessons, and a competent teacher should always tailor their instruction to their audience, the degree of discipline in the class, the difficulty of the subject, and so on. We choose a more personalized approach to teaching, and we rotate between being an authority, demonstrator, facilitator, and delegator. We also look for teachers who are results-oriented. Our teachers work one-on-one to clearly outline the student’s goals. The teacher then develops a clear plan for the full year, including various milestones and assessments, to evaluate our progress regularly, taking into account the student’s present level of language abilities and the type of learner they are. Our school places a strong emphasis on hands-on learning. Students appreciate this type of learning since they can gain as much hands-on experience as possible. This instructs the teacher to circulate the classroom and encourage hands-on learning experiences. Part One of the
Interview Process:
We ask that you dress professionally for the interview, be on time, and bring any accolades that will help our recruiting staff better understand your teaching style and drive for teaching . In addition, here are some of the interview questions you might expect to be asked. 1. What unique talents do you bring to our school? Could you start a writing program or coach a sport? Do you have a desire to add to the school community? 2. How do you communicate with your students’ parents? Providing some examples helps the school Principal understand your management skills. 3. How do you reach all learners? Show that you are aware of the range of learning styles and differences and be specific about how you address them. 4. Recall a teaching experience that went poorly. What would you do differently? We applaud teachers who can pinpoint what went wrong during reflection. 5. What are you reading professionally? Keep up with trends and show that you are a learner. 6. Describe a day in your classroom. Illustrating a day gives us insight into a teacher’s methods, practice, and classroom management techniques. 7. How do you know your students are learning? The school principal needs to understand how teachers use assessment to guide instruction. 8. Do you have any questions for us? Please come prepared with questions. This is an excellent opportunity to ask about staff development opportunities and teaching materials Finally, later in the day, we invite prospects to give us any additional questions they may have had during the interview. Part Two of the
Interview Process:
If you are chosen, the school will set up a trial day for you to experience a day at STARS. Our best candidates lead on the trial day by: 1.
