Granada Presbyterian Day School is a Christian school, focus on nurturing, child-focused preschools committed to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and families. We are currently seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Custodian to join our team as a part-time and substitute staff member.

Position Overview:

The Preschool Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and safety throughout the preschool facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a supportive, child-centered environment.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and other school areas Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces Take out trash and recycling daily Disinfect high-touch areas regularly Refill supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) Light maintenance tasks as needed Ensure a clean and safe environment for children and staff Respond to occasional urgent cleaning needs during school hours Follow all safety and health regulations, including childcare facility standards

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical labor Must pass background checks and TB test (as required by childcare licensing regulations) Must pass drug test Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Comfortable in a preschool/childcare setting Flexible availability to fill in as needed for staff absences (morning, mid-day, or afternoon shifts)
