The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, particularly in preschool settings, and the ability to implement engaging learning activities that promote childhood development. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning Monitor and assess children’s progress in various developmental areas, including math and literacy skills. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students. Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children’s learning and development at home. Provide early intervention strategies for children who may require additional support in their learning journey. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families regarding their child’s development. Qualifications CDA or FCCPC in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment. Commitment to child welfare and the promotion of healthy development in young learners.
