QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Meet one (1) of the following criteria: a) Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, b) Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC), c) Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), or d) Florida Child Care Staff Credential Verification. 3. Fifteen (15) semester hours of college courses in Primary, Pre-K or Early Childhood Education (preferred). 4. Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse groups. 5. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 6. Knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to the position’s job responsibilities.
PEFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
1. Assists in the development and maintenance of a safe, stimulating learning environment. 2. Provides support and assistance to students throughout the school day. 3. Provides one-on-one or small group instruction under the guidance of the Teacher/ECP II. 4. Models and implements age-appropriate behavioral techniques and appropriate consequences. 5. Prepares and maintains appropriate instructional materials, supplies and equipment as directed. 6. Communicates effectively on a continuous basis with the Teacher/ECP II. 7. Performs assigned responsibilities expeditiously and works harmoniously with students and staff. 8. Assists with record keeping activities. 9. Attends and participates in recommended staff development programs. 10. Observes established school philosophy, policies, and regulations; maintains confidentiality and professionalism.
