As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for leading activities, providing guidance, and fostering personal growth among campers. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children and the ability to educate and inspire. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during various activities. Plan and lead engaging educational and recreational activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and nature exploration. Provide support in behavior management to create a positive camp atmosphere. Educate campers on various topics while promoting teamwork and cooperation. Assist with special needs children by implementing individualized strategies as needed. Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all campers. Maintain open communication with parents regarding camper progress and experiences. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth camp operations. Qualifications Experience working with children in a camp setting or similar environment is preferred. Background in special education or behavior management is a plus. Skills in sports coaching or childcare are highly desirable. Previous babysitting experience can be beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. A commitment to creating a Christian-centered environment is appreciated but not required.
