Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Director and Lead Teacher who shares our faith-based values and passion for early childhood development. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and spiritually enriching classroom environment, helping children grow academically, socially, and in their walk with Christ.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Director with daily operations of the center. Step in to lead classrooms when needed. Work closely with the Director to implement strategic plan. Open or close the center as scheduled. Knowledge of early childhood development and education. Experience working in childcare settings. Help manage enrollment, waitlists, and admissions. Maintain accurate records of children, staff, incidents, and attendance. Help to prepare reports and documentation as needed for licensing or inspections. Evaluate staff performance and support professional development alongside the Director.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. DCF 45-hour training completed (preferred). CDA credential (preferred). Previous experience in a preschool or childcare setting. CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Strong classroom management skills and a warm, patient demeanor. Active member of a Christian church and able to integrate faith into teaching.
